The Woodward Educational Trust ...
... is a charity registered in England and Wales, set up to provide educational benefits to honour the memory of the founders of the Hopton Wafers Village School, and its many teachers and pupils .
The objects of the charity are:
(1) the provision of educational benefits, with particular emphasis on ecumenical Christian religion, for the residents of the ecclesiastical parish of Hopton Wafers, in Shropshire; .
(2) whilst giving priority to the residents of ecclesiastical parish of Hopton Wafers, the provision of educational benefits, with particular emphasis on ecumenical Christian religion, for the resdents of the ecclesiastical parishes of Cleobury Mortimer, Doddington, Milson, Neen Sollars, Neen Savage and Kinlet, together with the Woodhouse.
(3) subject to these two priorities, towards general education purposes, with particular emphasis on ecumenical Christian.religion.
The Trustees of the charity have a preference for making smaller awards each year, of up to £250 each, to benefit a larger number of applicants, but will consider applications for larger amounts.
